Administering user accounts

Changing the limit on simultaneous group membership

The maximum number of groups that a user can be in at one time is 16 by default. This limit is controlled by the NGROUPS_MAX tunable kernel parameter. To change this value, use the System Tuner Manager or the idtune(1M) command. The kernel must then be relinked and booted for the new value to take effect. See ``Using the System Tuner'' for more information.
