Configuring incoming PPP connections

Configuring remote access

Using the PPP Incoming Connection Wizard, you can enter the following information to control how incoming users may be authenticated:


Remote access bundle
Enter a name for the bundle that will hold details about an incoming user. This name will be used to identify the user's bundle among those listed by the PPP Manager.


NOTE: If you enter a name that contains space characters, these will be replaced by underbar characters ``_''.


Enable CHAP authentication
Select Yes if you want to use CHAP to authenticate incoming users.


WARNING: This policy will be applied to all incoming users.


Enable PAP authentication
Select Yes if you want to use PAP to authenticate incoming users.


WARNING: This policy will be applied to all incoming users.


Enable login authentication
Select Yes if you want the user to log in to authenticate themselves.

Enable caller ID authentication
Select Yes if you want to authenticate the user by their caller ID.


NOTE: You must select at least one authentication method.
