Link quality options

The following options control how the Link Control Protocol measures the quality of a PPP link:


Time between echo requests
If enabled, LCP echo requests to determine link quality will be generated using the specified period in seconds between requests. If the peer fails to respond more than the maximum acceptable number of times out of the specified number of samples, PPP will drop the link.

Maximum number of acceptable errors in sample period
The maximum number of failed samples that are acceptable in the period between echo requests.

Number of samples to determine link quality
The number of samples that are used to determine link quality.
