Administering the ttymon port monitor

Adding a ttymon port monitor

To add a ttymon port monitor, use the following command:

sacadm -a -p pmtag -t type -c "cmd \
" -v `pmspecific -V` \
-n count [other options]

NOTE: To make changes to a port monitor entry, always use the sacadm command to add a line to the SAC administrative file. Do not edit the file directly.

For example, the following command adds a ttymon-type port monitor named ``ttymon1'':

sacadm -a -p ttymon1 -t ttymon -c /usr/lib/saf/ttymon -v `ttyadm -V`

For more information, see ``Administering port monitors'', sacadm(1M), and ttyadm(1M).
