Administering port monitors

Administering port monitors

The SAF administrative model is hierarchical. The higher level is concerned with port monitor administration. At this level, port monitors may be added, removed, started, stopped, enabled, or disabled. The lower level is concerned with service administration. Functions performed at this level include requesting port monitor status information, replacing a per-system configuration file, installing or replacing a per-port monitor configuration file, and requesting that a port monitor read its administrative file. These functions are discussed in ``Administering port services''.

This section describes the higher-level administration; the sacadm(1M) command which is used to modify the SAC and port monitor environments.
