EELS log files

EELS supports two log files by default. These files are located in /etc/eels/logs and are called:

mysql.log: The log file for the default RDBMS used to store EELS log messages. If you use an alternate RDBMS, this log file will not be present. The file contains startup messages and any error messages that may be generated by mysql. For more information on mysql see the T.c.X DataKonsultAB home page.
eelsd.log: The EELS log file that is used to store status information on how EELS is running. Usually this file is empty unless there is a configuration error in /etc/default/eels. The log file contains messages that can help you identify your configuration problems. If there is not enough information, you can increase the details written to the file by adding the -d option to eelsd when it is started. NOTE: EELS log messages do not automatically get written to the EELS database. The reason for this is that these log files are usually only written to if there is a problem with EELS, in which case the EELS database may not be available.
