/etc/default/tar

This file contains device names with corresponding block and size values to be used by the tar(1) command. Each line in the file has the following form:

   archiven=device      block      size
where n is a single-digit integer that can be used as the value of ``#'' in the tar command #s modifier, device is the device name, and block and size are integers used as the blocking factor and tape size, respectively.

For example, the first line in the file might look like this:

   archive0=/dev/rdsk/f05dt	18         360
