Network support library (libnsl) interfaces

The network support library (libnsl) supports the following interfaces, documented in the indicated reference pages:

The following interfaces are provided by the UnixWare 7 libnsl library:

• cr1 authentication (see getkey(3N))

• connection server (see cs_connect(3N))

• network directory functions; this contains look-up functions and the access point to network directory libraries for various network transports (see netdir(3N))

• network selection routines; these functions access and manipulate the /etc/netconfig file (see getnetpath(3N) and getnetconfig(3N))

• transport interface library; these functions support both the older Transport Layer Interface (TLI) semantics and the newer semantics of the X/OPEN Transport Interface (XTI) (they are documented on the Section 3xti manual pages, UNRESOLVED XREF-0, and UNRESOLVED XREF-0)

• remote execution (REXEC) (see rcmd(3N), rexec(3N), and rexecve(3N))

• remote procedure calls (RPC) (see rpc(3rpc))

• external data representation (XDR) (see xdr(3rpc))

• network information service (NIS) (see ypclnt(3rpc))
