UnixWare uses a single queue between a lpd client and a print
server. To allow print jobs to simultaneously cross-reference over the network,
the client must be set up so that the server is represented as a different box
for each printer (on the server). If there are four printers on the server, then
the server must have four network names all with the same address. For example:
eng1.xyz.com
eng2.xyz.com
eng3.xyz.com
eng4.xyz.com
At the client, use one of these names as the printer server for
each printer. For example:
printer1 eng1.xyz.com
printer2 eng2.xyz.com
printer3 eng3.xyz.com
printer4 eng4.xyz.com
The UnixWare client uses a different LPNET for each of the printers and cross-references the print jobs in parallel instead of serially.
