Configuring terminal line settings

Printing terminal line setting information

The sttydefs command displays information about terminal line settings. It also verifies that each entry it displays is correct and that the entry's ``nextlabel'' field refers to an existing ttylabel. An error message is printed for each invalid entry detected.

NOTE: The output from the sttydefs command can be lengthy. Pipe the output through a pager such as pg(1) or more(1).

To display status information for all records in the /etc/ttydefs file, enter:

/usr/sbin/sttydefs -l

To display only the ttydefs record that corresponds to a specific ttylabel, enter:

/usr/sbin/sttydefs -l ttylabel
