Mouse administration

A mouse is an input device, connected to your terminal, that is an alternative to the keyboard. Especially well suited to graphical user interfaces (GUIs), it is usually a hand-held object with a roller (or sometimes a light) on the underside and buttons on the top. As you move the mouse on a level surface, the cursor on your terminal screen moves correspondingly. The buttons on the mouse allow you to manipulate objects on the screen and perform actions that correspond to commands. The mouse is normally installed as part of the initial system installation activity. (See the Getting Started Guide for further information.)
