Managing Hot Plugable controllers

Viewing the Hot Plug Log

The Hot Plug Log is a record of hot plug events. It contains a one-line message for each hot plug operation performed, and indicates whether the operation succeeded or failed. Events like interlock open/closed or card removed/inserted are also captured to the log file.

When the Log File window is active, no other operations can be performed.

To view the Hot Plug Log, select File -> View HotPlug Log File .

NOTE: The Hot Plug Log file is located in /var/adm/log/hot-plug.log.
