Enabling and disabling an install server
You can enable or disable an install server at any time.
When an install server is enabled,
other systems in the network can install an operating system product
or add-on packages that are staged on the install server.
When an install server is disabled,
other systems cannot access the products or packages that are staged
on this install server.
This allows you to control when network installation of products and
packages from your install server can be performed.
By default, only the system owner can run the Install Server.
For information on how to grant this authorization to other accounts,
``Using the Application Installer''.
To enable or disable an install server:
Start the Install Server by entering
/usr/X/bin/Install_Server at a graphical terminal
Select one of these items from the Actions menu:
Select Enable to enable the install server.
Select Disable to disable the install server.
Select Exit to exit the Network Install Server Setup window.
