Setting access for remote systems

When you first set up a printer, all remote systems are denied access to that printer. You can set up access to local printers for remote systems by doing the following:

  1. In the Printer Setup Manager, select the printer that you want to allow or deny access to, then select Printer -> Set Remote Access.

  2. Select the ``Access Mode'' (either a list of systems denied access or allowed access).

  3. You have two choices for adding hosts to your list:

  4. To remove a host from the list, select it and click on Remove.

  5. You also can search for a specified user by entering the name in the ``Search for'' field.
